Hello,
I'm so grateful that you've decided to come to my page and visit with my art.
My wildlife art is my love song to the wild, within and without.
What I seek in life is connection, understanding, community, dignity and joy. We are all one. The pulsating, vibrating, surviving, living wild exists within each of us. We all ultimately want the same things. Only in getting deep with the self, can we show up fully as we are. Nature embraces us, each day, to come as we are. She accepts us.
I travel the world to spend time with the beings I only read about as a girl. Jaguars in Brazil, bears in Alaska, tigers in India, elephants in Africa and so much more. We live in a truly wondrous place, all we have to do is reach out and realize it. I love the wild, and her determined inhabitants. We walk the earth, pursuing our lives, alongside of seemingly mythical creatures that are in fact real. It amazes me every time I think about it. It stuns me and places me in complete awe each time I share space with a wild animal. It's the simplest thing and is each of our birthright, yet has become such a difficult thing to do.
The world is vast, and each one of us is an important piece to the whole. We are so small, and yet we matter. In the wild, we are considered, we take up space, and we negotiate, all in present time. To seek oneself, nature is the great equalizer.
I love wild animals, I love giant mammals. I feel connected to life itself when standing across from a bison or an elephant, or staring into the eyes of a jaguar hunting for her family's next meal.
We are all connected and we are all one.
In my art, I hope to show the beauty, dignity, individuality and regality of the beings I make photos with.
